Meet Your Course Leader
Jeff Mitchell is an experienced entrepreneur and educator who has launched over 20 courses in the past 5 years.
In 2017-2018, he led the development of the Digital Innovation Skills Certificate, which upskilled under-employed Arts graduates in digital marketing and e-commerce to help them pivot into more meaningful careers. He established a unique partnership structure by bringing together industry leaders Shopify and Hubspot, and academic institutions Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College, and received $1,000,000 in grant funding from the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade, and Job Creation to test an innovative learning model that paired teams of digital marketing apprentices with local small businesses who needed support with the transition to the digital economy.
Today, Jeff’s flagship program is Side Hustle 101, which has helped 500 side hustlers to start businesses since June 2020, and has generated $200K in revenue. He’s leveraged multiple revenue generating models from this single asset, having generated revenue via direct sales, collecting licensing fees, and securing course sponsorships.
And, as a partner with Canon Canada, Jeff and the Lane Two team have helped to launch 10 online photography and videography courses in the last 2 years, which have supported over 2000 creatives to grow their skillsets and deepen their relationship with their hardware provider.
